Bicycle Safety Class: Norwalk, Saturday, 9/7

I received the following email from Andrew Yip, Program Coordinator for Bike San Gabriel Valley. His organization is offering Bicycle Safety Courses. The first 12 participants will receive a helmet and bicycle light at the completion of the 3-hour course. Participants must be at least 18 years old and need to bring a bicycle to class.

There is a class scheduled for Saturday, 9/7 in Norwalk. Other classes are available throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) received a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) to spearhead a series of  "Need to Know" Bicycle Safety Courses throughout Los Angeles County.

The course teaches participants how to ride a bicycle safely and legally in the streets. There will be classroom instruction, parking lot drills and a ride in the streets to put our skills to the test. Participants that finish will receive a set of bicycle lights, helmet and many more freebies.

Space is limited to 12 participants per course and is on a first come, first serve basis. Must be at least 18 years of age and bring a bike to participate.

We currently have a course scheduled:
