  1. I was willing to donate almost all my hair for locks of love but now i cant. my hair is curly and short and i was willing to do anything just for someone else to have it. its all natural hair with no dyes or anything. i say that any length of hair should be accepted. i guess that all this hair will go to waste and theres nothing i can do about it.

  3. Hi! Actually Locks of Love accepts any donation, what they can't use they sell to other wig makers. Another organization you may want to try is Beautiful Lengths. Personally I like Beautiful Length better because they only require 8 inches and there is absolutely no cost in getting a hair piece through them, whereas Locks of Love gives the hair pieces on a sliding fee scale. If you are looking for a haircut, Sharkey's Cuts offers free haircuts with a 10" Locks of Love donation. A lot of the business offering free cuts ask for the minimum donation, if they didn't then everybody would go in asking for a free haircut and say, "donate it", no matter what the length. If it's too short for donation you can always scatter it in a place where there are lots of birds in late winter, birds will use the hair to make their nests. Good luck.
