Disneyland Ticket prices have increased! Get tickets today at yesterday's prices!

I originally wrote this post in June 2013. This morning the world woke up to find another Disney Resort price increase!

Last year there was a 3 week period between the time the Disney Resort raised price of tickets and the time the updated cards with the new price were stocked at grocery stores.

If you plan to go to Disney later this year, and you have the money available, buy your tickets & passes at the Grocery Store or Disney Store now and save!

Disneyland Resort has raised admission prices once again. The cost of one or two day tickets have gone up $4-12 a piece. All annual passports increased by $30. The cost of a one day, one park ticket is now $92 for ages 10 and up, $86 for ages 3-9, and children 2 and under are free. See all the new prices here.

I know what you are thinking. Yikes! I know, right? Okay, here is how you can get around paying the full price for Disney tickets and it's totally legitimate.

Disneyland Resort tickets and annual passports available at Ralphs, Monterey Park, 6/1/2013.
These tickets & passports must be redeemed by 12/31/2013.

You can still purchase tickets and passports at the old price if you visit the gift card section at  grocery stores that sell Disney tickets and annual passports.

I contacted a Disneyland Resort ticket representative earlier in the month and she said that although the prices increase at the park they do not ask the grocery stores to replace their current stock. They are available while supplies last and can be redeemed up until the expiration date on the card, usually until the end of the calendar year. The ticket holder will not have to pay the difference in price.

UPDATE 12/24/13: We redeemed finally redeemed our annual passes that we bought way back in June, at the ticket booth the Cast Member couldn't figure out how to add the 2013 updated parking fee to our pass, and after a few minutes of trying she gave us the old parking pass price, saving us $30! She said, "I can't figure it out, Merry Christmas!"

If you are planning on visiting Disneyland this year act fast, buy your tickets at the old price from the gift card section of Ralphs, Albertsons, or another grocery store that carries the cards, and save up to $30. Check out the Disney Store gift card section too! They still sold the passes & tickets to Disney at the old prices for a few weeks until the new updated price cards came in.
