The Los Angeles Astronomical Society hosts the weekly event and the website says, "The Garvey Ranch Observatory is open to the public every Wednesday evening from 7:00 PM to 10 PM. Go into the dome to use the 8 Inch Refractor or observe through one of our telescopes on the lawn. Visit our workshop to learn how you can build your own telescope, grind your own mirror, or sign up for our free seasonal astronomy classes."
Stay all night or stop by for a quick glance through the telescope. I brought my kids in their pajamas after dinner. We only stayed about 10 minutes; it was a fun outing!
