I visited Grand Park for the first time two years ago and was pleasantly surprised to find lush spacious lawns, shops, a huge walk-in water fountain for kids to splash to their hearts content, and a new playground has been added since my last visit.
This Fourth of July Grand Park will feature a celebration with live entertainment and fireworks.
Prepared food picnics are encouraged in the park. Beverages are not allowed, but empty bottles for water are allowed. Grilling and cooking prohibited. All bags will be checked. Pets on leashes are welcome. There are strict rules for what is allowed, please refer to the Grand Park website for more information.
I'm much too afraid of GP during busy "festival" days as there's no free parking and way too many people. your only choice is to park at the gold line and take a 45min metro ride in. No thanks.
