Find out what happens behind the scenes when you flush the toilet or the garbage truck hauls the trash away. The Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County is offering a free tour of the San Jose Creek Water Reclamation Plant (NW corner of the 60 & 605 Freeways) and the Puente Hills Landfill.
The tours are scheduled for Saturday, June 4. The tour of the Water Reclamation Plant begins at 9:00 and the Puente Hills Landfill tour starts at 10:30. Interested parties can join one or both tours. Tours start at the Sanitation District Office on Workman Mill Road in Whittier. All tour participants must be 7 years or older.
