During the entire month of October Sea World, San Diego, is offering children ages 3-9 free admission with each full-paid adult admission.

Parents also have the option of adding a Dolphin & Beluga Interaction where kids ages 10-12 are free with each paid adult, and/or the Dine with Shamu experience where kids ages 3-9 eat free with each paying adult. Make reservations in advance as both of these programs have limited availability.

L.A. County Library 2013 Bookmark Contest

 

The 34th annual L.A. County Library Children's Bookmark competition is now open!

 

Families can pick up an entry form at any L.A. County Library or download a form to print at home here. Contest is open to children in kindergarten through 12th grade. Deadline to enter is Thursday, October 19, 2013. Each library will have it's own winner. Regional winning designs will be published online and printed for distribution at all county libraries in April 2014. Click here to view the Bookmark Contest winners from 2012.

In addition, we will provide parents with free college awareness workshops regarding attending college, STEM disciplines, financial aid, and more. The club's goal is to host 150 students plus their parents/guardians."
