Community Emergency Preparedness Fair: Schabarum Regional Park

Community Emergency Preparedness Fair
Saturday, May 2
9am - 1pm
Schabarum Regional Park
17250 E. Colima Road, Rowland Heights, CA 91748

I attended this event in 2014. It was a hot day so the crowds were thin and my kids were able to have the full attention of the Sherriff's deputies, fire fighters, & other rescue workers. Lots of little freebies were handed out from the different community organizations, great presenters spoke on different aspects of disasters, and there were lots of booths with information about how to be better prepared in the event of an emergency.

Schabarum Park itself is a very nice place to visit, there are children's play areas, large grassy fields, and trails throughout. A trip to the park along with educating yourself about disasters would make for a fun day for the family.
