Mardi Gras Festival & Parade: Long Beach, Saturday, 3/1

The forecast calls for rain on Saturday, but the Mardi Gras celebration will go on rain or shine! Join the festivities of Mardi Gras in Long Beach, Saturday, March 1, from 1pm-6pm. Activities span from Shoreline Village to the Aquarium of the Pacific with a parade starting at 3pm.

The Disney Store at the Shops at Montebello Mall regularly has events throughout the week. The schedule is posted on the digital billboard in the front of the store.

The in-store events run for about 15 minutes and usually include a free keepsake such as a small craft, button, mask, sticker, coloring page, or certificate. All events are held in the gazebo area of the store.

Taste of the Farm Store includes sampling of delicious farm fresh produce, food items, cooking demonstrations, and a petting farm. Petting zoo admission is $3 per child/adult pair, $1 for animal feed. 11am-3pm.

Bug Day will feature live and preserved specimens from around the world, admission is $4 for 12 and older, and $2 for students & under 12 years, children 2 and under are free, $3 parking. 10am-3:30pm.

"In 1944 to honor Temple City's new "Home of Camellias" slogan, the Garden Section of the Woman's Club organized a flower show and parade of youngsters to highlight the city's official flower. Seventy years later, the Camellia Festival remains a signature hometown tradition, with its purpose to celebrate local youth and promote their participation in community affairs.
