Catholic School Open House: Wednesday, 8/3

A reader, Priscilla asked that I share this event with you. Catholic education is one of the most affordable options when choosing a private school. Tuition is $3,300 a year. Tuition assistance is available.

Open House
August 3 2011
6:00pm - 8:00pm

315 S. Eastman Ave.
Los Angeles, CA 90063

Our Lady of Lourdes School has been serving the Catholic Community of the East Los Angeles area since 1914. The school is located on the picturesque corner of S. Eastman Ave and 3rd Street in Los Angeles. Our grades include Kindergarten, and Grades One through Eight. In addition to the challenging academic standards of the Catholic curriculum, the school offers music, physical education, computers, science lab, art and an elective period. Our extracurricular activities include a full athletic program, student council, youth ministry, liturgical choir, newspaper, and yearbook. We offer day care from 3:00pm to 6:00pm, and have a Homework Club for tutoring from 3:00pm-4:00pm. Most of our graduates go on to private Catholic High Schools. Our friendly office staff will assist you with any questions and the application process. We look forward to hearing from you!

Concerts in the Park: Arcadia, Thursdays 6:30pm

The City of Arcadia is hosting weekly Concerts in the Park on Thursday evenings at 6:30.

The Marine Corp Band for Camp Pendleton will be performing, July 7. I saw the group perform this past Tuesday in Puente Hills and they were fantastic. My kids sat through the entire 1.5 hour performance without fussing. Pack a picnic and chairs/blanket and enjoy the music!
